Pathways Counseling

I have worked in the mental health field for 16 years. I obtained my Master’s degree in Counseling at Seattle University and my BA in Counseling at Western Washington University. I’m a licensed mental health counselor with the State of Washington.

My counseling work is with adults. I use an eclectic approach, using the counseling theories that are most helpful for your issues. I am an existential therapist. This technique is an approach that helps people learn about choices and choosing, accepting responsibility for self, living in the present, growing and thriving versus surviving and coping as well as finding enjoyment and meaning. Other approaches I use are Psychodynamic, Cognitive/Behavioral or Behavior therapy, Reality therapy, Relationship/Couples therapy and Group therapy.

Examples of issues I help with, although not exclusively are: depression, divorce, relationships (all types), grief and loss whether death of a loved one or ending of a relationship, fertility/infertility issues (men, women or couples including same sex couples), pre or postpartum depression, career or life transitions, stress/anxiety, work related problems, communication, social skills issues.

Together we will clear away the obstacles that prevent you from being fully who you want to be, who you are meant to be.

"The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing and becomes nothing. He/She may avoid suffering and sorrow but simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live"
Leo F. Buscaglia
