What types of people do you work with?
I work with a variety of people, such as professionals, business owners, students, teachers, barista’s, entertainers, creative artists, retail workers, marketing & sales and medical people. People who find themselves self stuck in and realize they need some help. I work with men, women and couples from 25 to 60’s.
Am I crazy or is something wrong with me if I go to therapy?
Life is stressful and sometimes confusing. People try to juggle too many things and become overwhelmed. To seek professional help during extraordinary life events, or when you need to develop effective coping skills, should be as natural as seeking medical help for a broken arm. Our mental health and physical health are vital to our well-being.
When do you see people?
I see clients Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and sometimes Thursday from 10am to 6:30.
How often do you see people?
I find it works best when I see people once a week to keep the momentum going and to keep people focused on their work in therapy.
How many sessions will it take?
It is hard to predict the number of sessions we will do but the range is 10 – 25 sessions, although that is by no means a limit. It does take longer if people are not coming weekly. The focus is to work on the issues you come in to get help with until you are feeling consistently better and you feel you are able to put into action the new skills you’ve learned.
What about fees and insurance?
I charge $95/50 minutes session. For couples, I prefer 75 minute sessions, although I slide my fee if you are a student or have an exceptional situation. Most clients find this price to be easily accommodated. Therapy is a valuable investment in yourself; you will benefits on this investment the rest of your life.
I am a preferred provider for Aetna, First Choice, Group Health-First Choice options. I am an out-of-network providers for other insurances and will provide a bill for reimbursed by your insurance or FSA.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes, I am accepting new clients. There are a limited number of late afternoon or evening openings and several day time appointments available, and more to become available in autumn of this year. It is also possible to change appointment times as your situation changes.
